  Africa Geyser
Feature Type: Geyser
Geyser/Spring Type: Fountain geyser

Basin
Norris Geyser Basin
Complex
Porcelain Basin

Dormant since 1981. Was active from 1971 until the late 1970's ranging from a regular geyser to a perpetual spouter and finally a loud roaring steaming fumarole. Maximum height was around 45 feet.

M. A. Bellingham reports that during the summer of 2016, there were fluctuations in the fill level of Africa's pool. It is not known whether any of these led to eruptions. Perusal of the logbook at the Norris Museum might prove interesting.
